Ingredients
1 onion, sliced
15 ml butter
15 ml cooking oil
5 ml ground coriander
5 ml garam masala
2 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
4 cardamom pods, crushed
2 ml salt
1 x 800 g can sliced peaches
45 ml vinegar
10 ml cornflour
Method
Sauté onion in heated butter and oil.
Add spices and salt and fry for 2 minutes.
Add peaches with juice and simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix vinegar and cornflour to form a paste and add to peaches.
Simmer for a further 5 minutes and serve with braaied meat.
